Our Services
Individual Therapy
At KC Counseling, individual therapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behavior. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, or life transitions, our licensed therapists meet you with compassion and evidence-based strategies to help you gain insight and move toward healing. Together, we’ll identify your goals and work at a pace that feels right for you.
Family-Based Treatment (FBT), also known as the Maudsley Method, is an evidence-based approach for treating eating disorders, particularly in adolescents. This model empowers parents and caregivers to take an active role in their child’s recovery by restoring nutrition, interrupting disordered behaviors, and supporting a return to healthy development. Rather than placing blame, FBT views the family as a vital resource, working collaboratively with a trained therapist to guide the process with compassion and structure.
Meal Support & Coaching
We offer compassionate, judgment-free meal support in both individual and group settings to help clients rebuild a healthy relationship with food. Whether you're practicing mechanical eating, challenging fear foods, or navigating urges, our trained clinicians provide real-time support, accountability, and coaching. Individual sessions allow for personalized attention, while groups offer connection and shared experience in a safe, supportive environment.
Group Therapy
Group therapy offers a supportive and connected space to explore shared experiences, practice new skills, and feel less alone in your healing journey. Guided by a licensed therapist, group members benefit not only from professional support, but also from the insight, encouragement, and empathy of others navigating similar challenges. Whether focused on a specific theme or offering general support, group therapy can be a powerful step toward growth and change.
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
Medical Nutrition Therapy is a therapeutic approach to treating medical conditions and their associated symptoms through individualized nutrition plans. Led by a registered dietitian, MNT involves a comprehensive assessment, personalized goal setting, and ongoing support to improve health outcomes. MNT empowers clients with practical, evidence-based tools to support healing and sustainable well-being.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Eating Disorders
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers personalized, evidence-based care for individuals struggling with eating disorders. With a flexible schedule designed to support life outside of treatment, our IOP includes group therapy, individual sessions, meal support, and tailored treatment plans that honor each client’s unique needs and goals. We prioritize a compassionate, collaborative approach to help clients restore their relationship with food, body, and self—while staying connected to their daily life and support systems.
